Journeyman Plumber
The Journeyman Plumber will be required to diagnose and remedy issues pertaining to water and HVAC systems, which might include drips, obstructions, and weather damage. The Journeyman Plumber will ensure service are rendered in a professional, courteous manner in order to maximize customer retention. The Journeyman Plumber will exhibit impeccable troubleshooting and decision-making skills and will suggest services which may be of use to customers who have incurred damage and delays as a result of plumbing issues. Responsibilities for this position include but is not limited to the following:
Responsibilities:
- Works with prints, shop drawings, and verbal direction and has an intimate knowledge of local plumbing codes.
- Assembles, installs, and repairs pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems according to specifications and plumbing codes.
- Cuts openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings using hand and/or power tools.
- Cut & threads pipe using pipe cutters, cutting torches, and pipe threading machine.
- Assembles and installs valves, pipe fittings, and pipes using hand and/or power tools.
- Fills pipe systems with water or air and reads pressure gauges to determine whether the system is leaking.
- Installs and repairs plumbing fixtures such as sinks, commodes, bathtubs, water heaters, hot water tanks, garbage disposal units, and dishwashers.
- Repairs and maintains plumbing by replacing washers in leaky faucets, mending burst pipes, and open clogged drains.
- Installs and repairs domestic hot water systems.
- Plumbers must be able to make field decisions based on proper plumbing practice.

Qualifications:
- Hold a valid state Journeyman Plumber license.
- Knowledge of state plumbing codes.
- Commercial plumbing experience a plus
- Blueprint reading skills
- Physical stamina
- Follow OSHA regulations
- Ability to manage and execute multiple tasks at the same time
- Strong verbal skills to communicate clearly and effectively and has professional phone etiquette
- Ability to relay information in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work under stress and remain calm and to calm other people during rapidly changing circumstances
HVAC Technician Apprentice
Under direct supervision of the Lead Installer, the Apprentice will assist in the installation of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems in single family new construction or light commercial renovation or new construction. Installations will be up to code and with rigid quality standards. Reports to assigned job site on time and ready to work.
Western Mass Heating, Cooling & Plumbing Inc is a 24/7 emergency service facility which means overtime and year- round work! Responsibilities for this position include but is not limited to the following:
Responsibilities:
- Assembles, installs, and repairs pipes, fittings and fixtures of heating, cooling, water, sheet metal and other HVAC related parts and equipment,
- Cuts openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and/or duct using hand and power
- Cuts & threads pipe using pipe cutters and/or pipe threading
- Assembles ductwork, cuts sheet metal, and duct
- Troubleshoot & repair or replace heating, cooling, ventilation and refrigeration equipment and
- Assist other technicians as

- 1 - 2 years’ experience with current HVAC equipment, including light commercial desired
- Hold a valid driver
- Maintain an insurable driving
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking
- Familiarity with HVAC wiring diagrams

- Ability to pass drug & background
HVAC Technician
The HVAC Technician will apply their technical skills and knowledge to install / service HVAC Equipment in residential settings. They are also responsible for providing timely and quality repairs of customers' products (Heat Pumps, Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning, Gas Furnaces & Boilers) while maintaining the highest level of customer service.

- Assembles, installs, and repairs pipes, fittings and fixtures of heating, cooling, water, sheet metal and other HVAC related parts and equipment,
- Cuts openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and/or duct using hand and power tools.
- Cuts & threads pipe using pipe cutters and/or pipe threading machine.
- Assembles ductwork, cuts sheet metal, and duct insulation.
- Troubleshoot & repair or replace heating, cooling, ventilation and refrigeration equipment and assemblies.
- Assist other technicians as needed.

Qualifications:
- 3 - 5 years’ experience with current HVAC equipment, including light commercial
- VRF experience desired.
- Hold a valid driver license.
- Maintain an insurable driving record.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Familiarity with HVAC wiring diagrams
- Must have EPA Certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
- Ability to work in confined spaces & in all types of weather.
- Ability to pass drug & background test.
